Progression Agreement Between University of Greenwich and Mitchell Hamline School of Law, USA

The University of Greenwich, School of Law and Criminology has signed a new progression agreement with Mitchell Hamline School of Law (MHSL), Minnesota, USA.

This is a unique progression agreement by its kind where students who have completed a programme of study at the University of Greenwich or MHSL may be considered for entry on an individual basis to a programme of study at the other institution.

MHSL shall consider applications from students who have successfully completed an agreed programme of study at the University of Greenwich for admission onto a named MSHL programme.

The University of Greenwich shall consider applications from other students who have successfully completed an agreed programme of study at MHSL for admission onto a named University of Greenwich programme.

The Progression Agreement exists between the following programmes:

Conditions for Progression

  • To be considered for progression, students must satisfy MHSL’s entry requirements.
  • Students must demonstrate a serious commitment to the study of American law and practice.
  • Students admitted to the successor programme may attend full time for 2/3 of the required JD programme or part time for the equivalent of 2/3 of the required JD programme.
  • Students must be able to obtain a visa and other required documentation to study in the United States for the duration of their studies in the United States.

Summary

Any students graduated from the above-mentioned programmes at the University of Greenwich will be able to progress to the MHLS to join their JD (American Law Degree) and/or LLM programmes. Their JD programme will take 15 months rather than 3 years for University of Greenwich graduates. MHLS will also be pleased to give up to 50% scholarship (depending on the student application) to the University of Greenwich students/graduates. As a result of this progression agreement, applicants will be able to receive English bachelor/master’s degree as well as American law degree/master`s degree if they successfully complete their degree.
