The results in two 2025 league tables underline the School’s focus on delivering a great student experience.
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences places student experience at the core of its focus - nurturing critical thinking, creativity, and social responsibility through both education and research.
These values are reflected in the 2025 editions of both the Guardian University Guide and the Complete University Guide.
In the current 2025 editions of these two league tables, Greenwich is ranked:
- 1st in London in English for Student Satisfaction and 6th in London for Graduate Prospects in the 2025 Complete University Guide.
- 3rd in the UK and 1st in London in Creative Writing for Student Satisfaction with Feedback in the 2025 Guardian University Guide.
- 5th in London in Politics and International Relations for Student Satisfaction with Feedback in the 2025 Guardian University Guide.
- 3rd in London in History for Student Satisfaction and 7th in London for Graduate Prospects in the Complete University Guide.
Beyond these successes, we are also proud to offer dynamic undergraduate programmes in Sociology and English Language and TESOL, designed to empower students with skills to navigate and influence an ever-changing world and address global challenges effectively.
We are equally committed to broadening horizons through our undergraduate foreign language modules, offering French, Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin, which can be studied at various levels - including beginners - for the duration of a degree. Some programmes even allow students to explore two foreign languages simultaneously. Additionally, our postgraduate offerings, including MA English Literature, MA Applied Linguistics (TESOL), MA International Relations, and MA Creative Writing, continue to attract students passionate about advancing their knowledge and careers.
Dr Cécile Laval, Head of The School of Humanities and Social Sciences says:
