Dome gym

Our fully air-conditioned gym caters for all your fitness needs. It has a full range of cardio-vascular and resistance machines and a range of dumbbells with personal trainers available.

Our gym has both male and female changing facilities, inclusive of showers and lockers available.

The gym shares a space with the campus café, so why not chill out with a coffee after your workout?

All prices are 4 monthly unless otherwise stated:

• All others - £80 for a 3-month membership.

Prices are subject to an increase on September 1st every year. Fees are due up front and in full.

Sports hall

The sports hall on the Avery Hill Campus is purpose built to offer the best opportunities for indoor sports. The hall has a sports specific vinyl floor and is marked out for a number of different sports:

The Sports Hall is open 7 days per week and bookings are taken from 09:00 – 22:00 weekdays and 09:00 -18:00 weekends

Outdoor facilities

All-weather sports pitches

£1.7m investment in sport on the Avery Hill Campus at University of Greenwich has resulted in our all-weather sports pitches, enabling most of our student sport to be played on campus. Not many other London universities can say that!

Sand dressed hockey pitch for our men's, women's and mixed hockey teams is also used by our lacrosse teams and for casual football.

The 3G Rubber Crumb Pitch suitable for Football, Rugby, American football and lots more.

Opening Hours

Pitches are available to hire all year round (excluding Grass Pitches when times of renovations take place). Times vary according to the season.

Opening hours of 9am – 9pm are available for outdoor facilities.

Grass, Football & Rugby Pitches at Sparrows Farm

University of Greenwich offers a secure set of football pitches that can cater for 11v11, 9v9, 7v7 & 5v5 for mini soccer. Sparrows Farm acts as a home hub for numerous community and grassroots football and rugby clubs throughout, both the football and rugby seasons.

Sparrows Farm offers both male and female changing rooms, toilets and facilities for any users with accessibility or disability needs.

3G

Hockey Astro

The University of Greenwich plays host to local Hockey Clubs that allow for both a student playing pathway, along with a community and grassroots sports development link, which contributes to hosting weekly training and fixtures on our sand-based hockey astro.

Tennis Courts

The University of Greenwich boasts 6 outdoor Tennis Courts at our Avery Hill Campus, with the addition of equipment available to rent from our Sport & Active Life Engagement Team.
